Anthropic launches Claude Code Channels with OpenClaw-Style functionality
Anthropic’s Claude Code Channels (research preview) stream messages, CI results, and alerts into live sessions via Telegram and Discord. Built on MCP with Bun, they offer bidirectional replies, background execution, and persistent sessions, secured with allowlists, pairing codes, and admin controls effectively delivering OpenClaw-style always-on AI workflows.
Anthropic captured 73% of new enterprise AI spending, driven by 80,508-user studies showing improved professional performance. To scale its developer ecosystem, the firm is launching "Code with Claude" conferences in San Francisco, London, and Tokyo. Cursor has released Composer 2, an advanced coding AI trained with continued pretraining and long-horizon reinforcement learning. The model achieves 61.7 on Terminal-Bench 2.0 and 73.7 on SWE-bench Multilingual, outperforming previous versions. Composer 2 executes hundreds of sequential coding actions with high efficiency.
Pricing is $0.50 per million input tokens and $2.50 per million output tokens, with a faster variant at $1.50/$7.50, offering a cost-effective solution for large-scale, complex code generation tasks. Read more.
Codex becomes core to OpenAI’s unified ‘superapp’ vision
OpenAI is consolidating its AI stack across interface, infrastructure, and research. ChatGPT now uses a tiered routing system (Instant, Thinking, Pro) with manual model selection (GPT-5.4, 5.2, 5.0, o3), addressing transparency concerns. Internally, GPT-5.4 Thinking monitors coding agents by analyzing full interaction traces, flagging misalignment within ~30 minutes; no severe cases emerged across tens of millions of sessions.
Strategically, OpenAI is acquiring Astral to integrate Python tools (uv, Ruff, ty) into Codex, extending it toward full lifecycle automation. A desktop ‘superapp’ will unify ChatGPT, Codex, and an AI browser under centralized leadership.
