OpenAI to Announce Google Search Competitor on Monday, Sources Say

While Neuralink's implant aims to decode brain signals for cursor control and typing, its reliability has been questioned due to thread retraction post-surgery.

Deepmind CEO Demis Hassabis Says AI Agents for Complex Tasks Coming in 1-2 Years

Demis Hassabis, CEO of DeepMind, predicts that AI systems will soon evolve beyond mere question answering to independently planning and acting. Speaking to Bloomberg, Hassabis anticipates the emergence of "agent-like" systems within the next one to two years, capable of proactive decision-making.

DeepMind's focus on this advancement is evident in projects like the Gemini language model and the RT-2 robot program, which showcase the company's commitment to imbuing AI with real-world agency through a fusion of reinforcement learning with cutting-edge multimodal models.
